About Me

I’m on a mission to photograph. Memories. Moments. You.

How I got here
I always liked photography however when I finally signed up for a photography class and many thanks to my teacher, I now LOVE photography.

I ate up every photo how-to book, video, blurb, blog and article I could find.I grabbed my camera (then Canon Rebel 2000/35mm film) and went to take photos. Honestly most were crap. Then again Henri Cartier-Bresson did say “Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.” So I thought on how to do this more cost effectively DIGITAL!

I had some trials and tribulations; one was getting some self confidence in my ability. Luckily I have a fantastic husband who is a big fan of mine and has helped tremendously in giving me the push to get out there and conquer.

So I’m out grabbing shots of anything that catch my eye and soon to be available for purchase on canvases.

Why Photography?
I love seeing how people react when they look at a photograph. You know it’s a great shot when it stirs something from within.
It’s a beautiful connection between the photographer and the viewer.

“There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.”-Ansel Adams

My collections are for whoever celebrates nature as much as I do, whoever loves vivacious color and whoever loves life. Is that you? Then you found your way to a wonderful place.

What else is there to know about me?
I collect and wear kimono (the traditional costume of Japan). I’m part of a huge global community that has embraced kimono and has helped push the fashion world industry.

I read a lot, but I’m a bit embarrassed to show a photo of my cluttered bookcases.

I love costuming, any and all. In fact I’ll go to conventions and just photograph everyone I see incostume. I love the imagination and interpretation brought to the design of a character or historical fashion.
